LOCATION:
District-Wide, Currently assigned: Richard T. Stank Middle School

DESCRIPTION:
•      Experience in mass quantity food preparation, quality control, sanitation, and HACCP
•      Understanding of all State and Federal requirements as they pertain to a child feeding program.
•      General knowledge of nutritional requirements and dietary guidelines.
•      Possess the ability to supervise others
•      Ability to follow both oral and written directions; strong organizational skills, effective time management skills.
•      Must be able to assume the duties of Cook Manager in his/her absence

QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to work with diverse populations; knowledge of state and federal regulations regarding sanitation; dependable and willing to learn.

WORK YEAR:  10 month / 5 days per weeek / 5.5 hours per day 

SALARY: As per contract

Bus Driver - Mechanic

 
LOCATION: 
Susquehanna Valley Central School District

DESCRIPTION:
This is manual work requiring skill in the operation of a large motor vehicle, as well as involving responsibility for the safety and conduct of children who are passengers. The work also requires the efficient performance of a variety of automotive repair and machinist tasks. The work is performed under general supervision with leeway allowed for planning the details of each assignment. May, on occasion, direct the work of others. Does related work as required. 
 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
     A) Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college, university, or technical school with an                                          
          Associate's degree or certificate in automotive repair technology, or closely related field; OR 
     B) Two years of experience in an automotive repair shop performing repair and maintenance of automotive equipment               
          under the direction of a journey-level automotive mechanic; OR  
     C) An equivalent combination of training and experience as outlined by the limits of A) and B) above. 
* Must have excellent communication and people skills. Good working relationship with Transportation Department. 
* Must possess a Class B CDL License with PS endorsements.

WORK YEAR:  12 Months - Hours may vary daily (8 hours minimum); may be a split shift

DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for the delivery of students to and from school. Must maintain patience and have good decision-making skills.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be at least 21 years of age.
CDL and 19A Training Provided
WORK YEAR: September – June / 5 days per week / 4.50 hours per day
 
SALARY: As per contract; full time drivers qualify for health insurance.

School Bus Attendants

DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for maintaining order while students are on the school bus. Makes certain that passengers are seated, assists pupils when needed.  Must have patience and good decision-making skills.

DESCRIPTION:
On-call basis substitute for various support staff positions in the school district.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must be willing to be placed on our substitute listing with the provisions of working on an "on call" basis. Fingerprinting process is mandatory for employment. High school diploma or equivalent is required.

WORK YEAR:
 • 12 months/Custodial and Typist
• 10 months/Teacher Aide & Food Service

SALARY: $15/hour

• Administer First Aid and emergency treatment to students and staff.
• Order and dispense first aid and related health supplies.
• Adheres to all NYS regulations regarding the delivery of health services.

WORK YEAR: School year - September to June

SALARY: $25.70 per hour

DESCRIPTION:
Serve as a substitute nurse on an as-needed basis

QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be licensed by New York State as a Registered LPN
 
DUTIES: 
  • Administer first aid and emergency treatment to students and staff
  • Assist the school physician in physical, visual, and auditory screening of students and staff
  • Order and dispense first aid and related health supplies
  • Conduct NYS mandated assessments
  • Serve as health resource for school community
  • Adhere to all NYS regulations regarding the delivery of health services

WORK YEAR: 10 months / 5 days per week or 190 days per year / 7.5 hours per day

SALARY: $22.00 per hour

STARTING DATE: March 18, 2021
