Lifeguard Training CourseSV High School will be holding a blended learning Lifeguarding class (Red Cross) during the month of March. Lifeguard course participants must be 15 years old, a strong swimmer and must pass a swimming pre-test.  Anyone interested must complete this Lifeguard Registration Google Form: (https://forms.gle/6Nh18BSDH2zo9LLH7) by next Monday, March 4. We don't like to brag (well, maybe just a little), but...
EVERY ONE of our SV Sabers Fall Varsity teams qualified for Scholar-Athlete Team status. That's right. EVERY ONE. Cheerleading, Cross Country, Football, Golf, Boys Soccer, Girls Soccer, Girls Swim, Girls Tennis, and Volleyball. To qualify as a Scholar-Athlete team, at least 75% of the players on the team's roster must average a 90 or above in their academic studies. We couldn't be more proud of our Sabers.
 
LAP SWIM/OPEN SWIM Returns!
OPEN SWIM has returned - and now we've added LAP SWIM!  We started back up October 2 and we'll continue every Monday night through the school year. Lap Swim will run from 6:30-7:00 p.m., and Open Swim from 7:00-8:00 p.m. REMEMBER: if school is closed because of a holiday or inclement weather, there will be no Lap/Open Swim that day.

And speaking of our gardens...
Susquehanna Valley High School welcomed WIVT-TV 34's Jim Ehmke and Samantha Rich September 12 for a story on our students learning to grow their own herbs, vegetables and other plants. Mr. Ehmke and Ms. Rich interviewed Family and Consumer Science Teacher Jessica Esperon-Meneilly and seniors Gianna Palmer and Luke Lucas and paid a visit to the garden in the SV High courtyard.

If there's a need to be met, a tear to be dried, a hungry belly to be filled, you're sure to find Stacey Stilloe there. Along with her commitment to her duties as School Social Worker at Francis P. Donnelly Elementary, Stacey oversees the Saber Food Center
at FPD. There's no telling how many lives she has made better in so many ways, and we're proud
to call her one of our own.
