Susquehanna Valley Scholarship Foundation • Dollars for Scholars

The Susquehanna Valley Scholarship Foundation/ Dollars for Scholars began in 1999 with the goal of making college more affordable for Susquehanna Valley graduates. The Scholarship Foundation has increased its awards each year and currently presents between $10,000 and $15,000 to members of the graduating class. The Scholarship Foundations depends upon the generosity of the SV community to raise these graduation awards.

We ask you to consider a tax-deductible donation to assist us in our mission. Donations may be mailed to:

In addition, the foundation is always looking for new members. It doesn't require a huge time commitment - usually only an hour or two per month. The foundation committee typically meets on the third Wednesday of each month in the SV High School library. Please consider joining!

If you would like more information regarding the permanent endowment programs designed to recognize members of the Susquehanna Valley School Community, please contact Sydelle Steward, high school principal at Susquehanna Valley Senior High School at 1040 Conklin Road, Conklin, New York 13748.

A Message to the Sabers Community from the SVSEF

Dear SV Community Member,

A committed group of the SV "family" gathered 60 years ago with the intention of helping students in need by offering interest-free loans to college-bound graduates. Since 1965, the Susquehanna Valley Student Educational Fund, Inc. (SVSEF) has been assisting SV graduates in their pursuit of further education by granting loans which are repaid, interest-free. As a nonprofit corporation, the SVSEF must raise funds in order to continue this service to our students. Records from those early, formative years indicate a Membership Drive and appeal to our community proved effective in raising necessary monies.

We are asking you to consider playing a role in this important venture by making a donation. Your contribution is a testament to your support of SV graduates and will allow us to continue offering assistance to their post-secondary academic endeavors. Donations may be mailed to:
SVSEF
P.O. Box 298
 Conklin, NY  13748

With your generous support, we will provide much needed financial assistance to Susquehanna Valley graduates pursuing a college education. Students who benefit from SVSEF greatly appreciate this aid, and we thank you for your help in this worthy cause!

Sincerely,
SVSEF Committee
