Coaching Certification

The New York State Education Department provides certification guidelines for coaching. These guidelines are followed by school districts to ensure the safety and well-being of the student athletes. If you are interested in coaching at the inter-scholastic level the following documents will assist you in this process.

New York Approves NFHS Coaching Certification Pathway
 
Effective July 1 2015 coaches in NYS will be able to pursue an alternate pathway to complete the 3 NYS required coaching courses by utilizing the NFHS online coaching courses (AIC - Level 1 and CIC - Level 2) with a 30 hour internship. Click below to view the guidelines.
