End of year dates are announced! The last day for student instruction will be June 12. Middle and High School students will still have until June 17 to complete their projects.  Teachers will continue to be available to assist students through June 17.  Please note that these dates are subject to change upon the direction of Governor Cuomo and the NYSED.

Monday

SV Varsity team places 3rd behind Corning and Maine Endwell
SV JV team places 2nd behind only Corning
Girls Bowling
STAC Championships
SV JV team places 3rd behind Maine Endwell and Elmira

Tuesday
Boys Varsity Basketball,  SV  48  Windsor  27  
With this victory the team clinched a spot in the 2020 Class B sectional tournament.  The seeding meeting, which will determine who we play in the first round, will be held on Wednesday, February 19th.  
Boys JV Basketball,  SV  53  Windsor  38  The boys JV team finishes their season with this victory.  Coach Matt Davern and the boys finish the season with an impressive 8-4 league record and an 11-4 record overall.  
Girls JV Basketball,  SV  47  Owego  33

Wednesday
Girls JV Basketball,   SV 50  Windsor 33
With the victory, Coach Ray Haskell's team finishes the season with 6 straight wins and a 12-8 overall win-loss record.  
Girls Varsity Basketball,  SV  51  Windsor  56
It was senior night at SV and the following seniors, and their parents, were recognized:
Cayla Perez, Sophie Keehle, Brooke Ryder, Emily Repp, and Alex Deeter.

Thursday
Girls Varsity Basketball, SV wins over JC and improves to 12-7 on the season and will be participating in the sectional tournament in the coming weeks.

Saturday
The SV Boys Varsity Bowling Team participated in the Class C Sectional Tournament and were crowned CHAMPIONS!!  Congratulations to Coach Ray Lasky and his champion bowlers: Adam Srednicki, Hunter Badia, Christian Corbin, Jason Osborne, James Pittsley, and Mason Steen.  The team will now travel to Waverly this coming Saturday to practicipate in the 2020 NYS Qualifier.

Varsity Wrestling  
The Sabers participated in the 2020 Division II Sectional Tournament.  The following individuals placed in the tournament: Pat Enright, 5th at 220, Trevor Frable 3rd at 195 and Mitch Knapp 2nd at 182.  Mitch Knapp will represent the Sabers in two weeks in the NYS wrestling tournament in Albany.  The tournament will start on Friday, February 28th and conclude on Saturday, February 29th.

Indoor Track and Field
Three Sabers participated in the 2020 Indoor Track and Field NYS Qualifier.  Esther Valentine came in 5th in the weighted throw. Sierra Root was 14th in the shot put and 13th in the weighted throw.  Jessia Roon took 13th in the 55m hurdles.  Congratulations to all 3 of these exceptional SV athletes and their coaches.


The Senior Night for boys basketball, indoor track and  our cheer teams were originally scheduled for Thursday, February 13th.  They will now be held on Tuesday, February 18th.  JV boys game at 5:30, senior recognition about 6:45, varsity boys game at 7:15.
