Zach Latting took 1st place in the Weighted Throw in the State Qualifier meet Saturday, February 23 at Cornell University.  His winning throw of 51ft 3in was also good enough to set a new SV school record in the event.  But....he wasn't done there!!  Zach also placed 5th in the shot put with a score of 43ft 1in.  This distance was also good enough to break the school record in that event. Wow! Two school records in one day, not bad!!!
Esther Valentine also had a great day.  Esther participated in the Weighted Throw event scoring 29ft 6 1/2in.  This throw was also worthy of a new SV school record.
Congratulations to Zach and Esther and their coaches, Rick Cleary, Grace Tabeek and Alison Cass.

Bowling
Congratulations to SV Junior bowler Lyndsie Jicha who qualified to represent SV and Section IV at the NYS Girls Bowling Tournament, Saturday, March 9, 9:00 a.m. at the Strike and Spare Bowling Center, Syracuse, NY.  Lyndsie qualified as an alternate on the All-Star team and will only participate in the tournament if one of six team members is unable to.  We applaud Lyndsie on being named one of the best 7 girls bowlers in the entire Section IV region.
Way to go, Lyndsie!!!

Go Sabers!!!!!
