Works of art created by SV High School students Olivia Heater and Nicole Hoffman were selected for the 2017 Scholastic Art Awards currently being exhibited at the Arnot Art Museum in Elmira, NY.
Olivia Heater’s charcoal drawing, Self-Portrait with Spiders; and Nicole Hoffman’s oil painting entitled, Kitty Kat, both received Honorable Mention Awards, and will be on display at the museum throughout the month of February.
The National Scholastic Art & Writing Awards is the nation’s longest-running and most prestigious recognition program for creative teens, grades 7–12. Only a small percentage of artwork that is submitted is selected to receive awards.
