SV Mock Trial team

This year Susquehanna Valley’s Mock Trial Team had an outstanding season. For those of you that don’t know, in Mock Trial students have to try a case in a real court before a judge using only the affidavits and evidence given to them from the competition. Students write opening and closing statements, create questions, learn objections and proper courtroom etiquette and become witnesses; with only two months to prepare.

This year our Mock Trial competitors were athletes, musicians, Honor Society Members and Peer Leaders. They are all, busy, hard working students and gave up their Sunday’s in order to practice at the Town of Binghamton Town Hall. Their dedication and perseverance paid off when they successfully won all three cases and placed first in the regular season competition.

The team for the defense was attorneys Julia Allen, Natalie Hogan and Emily Harding. Witnesses for the defense were Claire Mastronardi, Shyanne Daye and Madison O'Dea.

The plaintiff attorney’s were Madison O'Dea, Katarina Stockton and Natalie Hogan. Witnesses for the plaintiff were Jay Hollar, Morgan Yager and Julia Allen.

The team would like to thank Joel Patch and Chris Roma, our attorney advisors from Hinman, Howard and Kattell for all of their guidance and help. We would also like to thank the ToB Town Hall for letting us practice there on Sundays.
