Waite, Osgood lead Class of 2016

SV High School Principal David Daniels cracked the mic on the school public address system February 17 to make the official announcement that Christina Waite and Joseph Osgood had been respectively named Valedictorian and Salutatorian of the Class of 2016. These are two exceptional young people with tremendous futures before them, as a result of their hard work and commitment to academic excellence and their untiring involvement in a range of activities both inside and outside the classrooms and halls of their school.

Waite is a member of the varsity soccer and track teams, performs in the high school's music ensembles, is a member of Peer Leaders and National Honor Society, and volunteers at Lourdes Hospital. She carries a 103 G.P.A., which includes AP Physics C, AP English, AP Government and AP Biology. Osgood is a very busy New Visions student who is - among many other things - a member of high school music ensembles, an Eagle Scout, and an accomplished actor: having secured lead roles in last year's production of Wizard of Oz, and this year's production of Little Shop of Horrors. He has also taken a lead role in producing, along with Waite, Lucas Sutton, and Alexia Stettinius, a series of AP Calculus AB instructional videos (posted HERE on YouTube).

The SV community is very proud of these two exceptional Sabers.
