There's Oobleck in the Brookside library!
Brookside kindergarten students got a little messy in the school library when they made oobleck. Students read the story Bartholomew and the Oobleck by Dr. Seuss. "We then learned that oobleck is also known as a non-Newtonian fluid; meaning it is neither a liquid nor a solid," said librarian Sarah Ciz. "The kids really enjoyed playing and seeing how when they just placed their hands in it it was a liquid but the moment they added force it turned into a solid." Each student got a copy of the Oobleck recipe, so they could share the fun at home.
