SV High's Elizabeth Leon joins peers at Hatala Orthodontics Shadow Day

Years ago, Hatala Orthodontics, Riverside Drive, Johnson City came up with a very clever idea to mark Groundhog Day. While everyone waited to find out if Phil saw his shadow in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, Hatala Orthodontics decided to give area high school students a chance to "shadow" their staff. Students contemplating a career in dentistry/orthodontics could spend the day at the busy office actually seeing what a typical work day is like for orthodontists, dentists, hygienists and dental assistants. This year, Susquehanna Valley High School's very own  Elizabeth Leon (second from right in group photo - click the photo to see a full-size version) was among the students attending! In a note to the schools, Dr. Patrick Scannell and his team at the clinic called this year's group "impressive." Here at SV, we'd have to agree!
