November Special Awards

students with gratitude award

Here at SV, we're big on acknowledging achievement and effort, because...who doesn't like a nice pat on the back once in a while?
We headed to the SV High auditorium in early December for a short ceremony to shine the spotlight on some of our students who've been crushing it so far this year.

Faculty and staff have been nominating students in such areas as:
•  "Caught you doing something good", recognizing someone who went out of their way to be nice to someone else.
•  "One Smart Cookie", recognizing someone who consistently excels or whose hard work is paying off!
•  "Attendance/On time Star", not just for perfect attendance, but for improvement or someone who is consistently here and ready to go!
•  "Living the word", recognizing a student that embodies our word of the month (October was Courage).
...and the big one....
•  Saber Pride Award: given each month to one student who best showcases what we believe our Sabers should embody: Hard work, Dedication, Kindness, and Strong Character.

These students received recognition: Joseph Al-Shimary, Scott Beach, Allicyn Bisaha, Amethyst Bogart, John Bonsell, Alexis Brannan, Kiernan Cipolla, Gavin Connors, Kase Drake, Destiny Dupont, Annabelle Friedman, Cecelia Gaetani, Natalia Giammarino, Erik Gontar, Samantha Gonzalez, Sonora Grant, Nina Gruden, Macadia Heavey, Sakina Husseini, Haylie Jicha, Ty'heem Jordan, Julia Kalashnik, Joshua Kenyon, Charles Kilmer, Leyanah Kinner, Chris Koedatich, Tyler Kramer, Abigail Leighton, Carly Lewis, Hannah Long, Shaughnessy McMahon, Angelena Mead, Zackary Merrin, Emma Milasi, Reilly Miller, Angus Milligan, Mason Nagle, Ashley Ondreyko, Quyn Remza, Hannah Scone, Lillian Short, Kayla Smith, Kayden Spencer, Mackenzie Stevens, Thomas Stocks, Izzy Thompson, Isabella Tillotson, Samuel Titus, Alicyn Wright.
