National Junior Honor Society welcomes new members from RTS

Music selections from the RTS Middle School ensemble, under the direction of Mr. Hine began a brief and dignified ceremony to induct the newest members of the National Junior Honor Society. The ceremony, held in the SV High School auditorium November 9, saw the current membership of NJHS at Richard S. Stank increase by thirty-seven students. Chapter President Ella Kariam welcomed a wonderful crowd of family and friends, and led the lighting of candles signifying the five pillars of NJHS: Scholarship, Service, Leadership, Character, and Citizenship. These tenets were explained by Treasurer Abigail Leighton, student speaker Natalia Giammarino, Vice-President Madeline Miller, and Secretary Leah Pappas.
 
This year's inductees: Averie Andres, Antonella Belnome, Sophia Belnome, Lydia Carangelo, Leah Diffendorf, Grayden Everson, Tristan Farley, Peyton Fedorwich,  Amelia Frisbie, Evelyn Gottshall, Baileigh Green, Sophia Harder, David Hashey, Maura Heater, Brodie Howard, Olivia Hughes, Leigha Jackson, Kealan Kinney, Ella Lawrence, Abby Leudemann, McKenna Masters, Liliana Mastronardi, Elijah Newton, Cavan O’Reilly, Audrey Packer, Ava Passionino, James Root, Ethan Schappert, Nolan Weed, Allicyn Bisaha, Tyler Blain, Ava Curinga, Madison Lewis, Ryan Lewis, Giano Lisi, Griffin Thompson, and Jaden Kelly.
