Several of Susquehanna Valley's grade 4-12 music students participated in the New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA) Solo & Ensemble Festival the weekend of April 28 and 29 at Johnson City High School. These talented Sabers spent hours preparing a solo or duet to perform for a state adjudicator. At NYSSMA, performing students get comments and - often - a rating of "good", "excellent", or "outstanding." We are proud to say that all of our participants earned a rating of "Excellent" or "Outstanding"! BRAVO Sabers!

Our High School Concert Band and Chamber Orchestra turned in outstanding performances at the 2023 NYSSMA Majors festival at Owego Free Academy. The festival features performances from a variety of Band, Chorus, and Orchestra School Ensembles, with professionally trained adjudicators evaluating each group against stringent musical criteria.
Our SV High School Concert Band achieved a Silver rating, and the Chamber Orchestra received a Gold rating. Well done Sabers!
