Seussical is one of the most performed shows in America. The show brings to life all of our favorite Dr. Seuss characters, including Horton the Elephant, The Cat in the Hat, Gertrude McFuzz, lazy Mayzie and a little boy with a big imagination – Jojo. The colorful characters transport us from the Jungle of Nool to the invisible world of the Whos.

The Cat in the Hat (Adrian Burns and Bethany Ondreyko) tells the story of Horton (Grey Milligan), an elephant who discovers a speck of dust that contains the Whos and their mayor (Alexandria Kelly) and her Who son Jojo (Grayden Everson), sent off to boarding school for thinking too many "thinks."

In the Who village, represented by Lilly Hollenbeck, Haily Gorton, Sophia Sousouris, Sophia Landers and Riley Olds, Horton faces a double challenge: not only must he protect the Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers, but he must guard an abandoned egg, left in his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird (Lillian Short) and supported by her bird girl followers (Basil Kutalek, Aliea Keogh, and Madelyn Zitzman). Although Horton faces ridicule, danger, kidnapping, and a trial, the faithful Gertrude McFuzz (Janeva Masil) never loses faith in him. Despite the attacks of the Wickersham family, represented by Paul Howard, Veda Hernandez and Ryleigh Stewart, and Alexandria Stewart, (who also doubles as Yertle the Turtle) and the sharp tongue of the Sour Kangaroo (Peyton Tobler), the powers of friendship, loyalty, family and community triumph.

The Saber Stage Stage Crew includes Emma Milasi, Mason Nagle, Demetrius Morelock, Rylan Everson, alumni Chris Sears plus others who will join as production week approaches.

Stage direction is by Shirley Goodman. Our musical director and pit conductor is Jenn Perkins.  Sonny Dewitt, Karen Everson, and Shirley Goodman will be building the sets designed by Mr. Dewitt. Stage Manager is Courtney Kerrick, with the help of Isaac Contreras, our alumni stage manager. Costumes are assembled and designed by Lynn Szigeti. Finally, we have Kate Fabrizio and Josey Milligan teaching choreography. Light design by Shirley Goodman with the assistance of Gabby Button. Sound will be delivered by alumni Logan Everson.
