Two students have plays selected by Syracuse Stage!

Peyton and Grey
Grey Milligan, grade 12, and Peyton Tobler, grade 11, submitted their original one-act plays to the Syracuse Stage's Young Playwrights Festival. Out of over 200 original one-act plays written by high school students, both Grey’s and Peyton’s plays were judged worthy to be included in the semifinals, two of the top 16 plays chosen!

As a result, Grey and Peyton will attend a writing workshop with Syracuse Stage and receive feedback from theater and literary professionals at Syracuse University. Next, the young playwrights will have a chance to revise their work. Upon re-submission, their works will be considered for the final round. Finalists will see their plays performed as staged readings by Syracuse University Drama Students during the Festival scheduled for 7 p.m., April 29, 2025. Congratulations to Grey on his play “Death by the General,” and Peyton’s play “In the Eye.” We learned so much when we attended this festival last year, and we plan to attend again this year.
