FPD Poetry Recitation a Rhymin' Good Time

The sun was shining, the performance space was jam packed with enthusiastic support, and the cuteness factor was off the charts as Francis P. Donnelly Elementary School hosted its annual Poetry Recitation Thursday, May 25. Black Bears trade skates and sticks for books at FPD

Francis P. Donnelly Elementary School was pleased to welcome a trio of players from the Binghamton Black Bears professional hockey team as guest readers February 6. Kyle Powell, Taylor Cutting and Mathieu Boislard spent the day visiting FPD classrooms and reading passages from several books, including On the Line by Kari-Lynn Winters, The Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats and Summer According to Humphrey by Betty G. Birney. The players encouraged students to do a lot of reading and answered questions about life as a professional hockey player. The Sabers Food Center is up and running!

FPD Pasta Palooza a Deliciously Good Time

There was music, there were handmade placemats, and there was pasta - lots and lots of pasta! And plenty of palooza, too. Of course, we're talking about the November 10, 2022 extravaganza at Francis P. Donnelly Elementary School that has come to be known as "Pasta Palooza!"
