The Susquehanna Valley High School Drama Club, Saber Stage Productions, presents Little Shop of Horrors, Friday, February 26, Saturday, February 27, and Sunday, February 28 in the SV High School auditorium.

A deviously delicious Broadway and Hollywood sci-fi smash musical, Little Shop Of Horrors has devoured the hearts of theatergoers for over thirty years. Howard Ashman and Alan Menken (Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Beauty And The Beast, and Aladdin) are the creative geniuses behind what has become one of the most popular shows in the world.
The story follows meek and dejected flower shop assistant Seymour Krelborn as he goes about his daily routine: tending to plants, being berated by his boss, shop owner Mrs. Mushnik, and pining for his beautiful co-worker Audrey. Everything changes during a total eclipse, when Seymour discovers and begins to care for a plant not of this world. He names the plant Audrey II, and soon learns that the plant has big (and sinister) plans. Audrey II develops a soulful voice, an attitude, and an appetite for human blood. The small drops Seymour feeds the plant don’t satisfy the bloodthirsty plant, and the more Seymour gives, the more the plant demands.
Audrey II grows bigger and meaner - promising Seymour limitless fame and fortune in exchange for a continuous “food” supply. Just when it’s too late, Seymour discovers Audrey II’s extra-terrestrial origins and his true drive for world-domination. And even though the strange plant has breathed new life into the struggling flower shop, Seymour knows Audrey II MUST BE STOPPED!
The curtain for the Friday and Saturday shows is at 7:00 p.m.; Sunday’s show is a 2:00 p.m. matinee. Tickets are $5.00 for students and senior citizens; $7.00 for adults.
This is the first offering for Saber Stage Productions under its new directors/advisors: Shirley Goodman and Jennifer Perkins.
