Brookside welcomes Food and Health Network, Rock on Cafe
kids and nutritionistsSchool lunches have changed. Gone are the days when the words "school lunch" was a punchline. In Susquehanna Valley and elsewhere around our BOCES, the Rock on Cafe, New York Thursdays, Farm to Table initiatives, and an increased emphasis on offering a wider variety of kid-friendly options from local sources has changed the school cafeteria experience. We recently celebrated those efforts, and the hard work of our dedicated food service staff by welcoming representatives from the Food and Health Network, Rock on Cafe and Broome-Tioga BOCES Dietician Julie Raway to Brookside to promote all the ongoing efforts to get kids excited about the nutritional choices they now enjoy.  Thursdays are especially special, as we serve meals mainly sourced from New York farms.
