Please let me humbly and excitedly introduce myself. My name is Mrs. Bobbi Jo Hatton and I am the new principal at Brookside Elementary. As some of you know, I came to Brookside last school year as a 3rd grade teacher. Over the past year and a half, I have gotten to know many of our students, families, and community members. It has been a privilege to become a member of this wonderful school community. From the moment I stepped onto SV campus, it has felt like home.
For those of you who have not met me, this year will mark my 30th year in education. I was a teacher in Vestal for 25 years and an assistant principal for almost 3 years, before coming here to Brookside. I have always been a fully engaged member in every school district that I have worked. I am passionate about kids, books, dogs, learning and teaching! I never get tired of helping a struggling student, sharing the successes big or small, or the thrill of seeing a student find a shining moment!
I pledge to give you nothing less than my very best, each day. I am committed to the kids and to our entire school community. I am dedicated to creating nurturing, positive and engaging schools for all. I consider each and everyone of you important to our school family. I look forward to working with you in supporting our kids!
