Mrs. Bobbi Jo Hatton is the new Principal at Brookside Elementary. Mrs. Hatton came to Brookside last school year as a 3rd grade teacher. "Over the past year and a half, I have gotten to know many of our students, families, and community members," she said. "It has been a privilege to become a member of this wonderful school community. From the moment I stepped onto SV campus, it has felt like home."
This current school year marks Mrs. Hatton's 30th year in education. She was a teacher in Vestal for 25 years and an assistant principal for almost 3 years, before coming to Brookside. "I have always been a fully engaged member in every school district that I have worked," Mrs. Hatton said. "I am passionate about kids, books, dogs, learning and teaching! I never get tired of helping a struggling student, sharing the successes big or small, or the thrill of seeing a student find a shining moment!"
In a message to Brookside parents, Mrs. Hatton pledged to give nothing less than her very best, each day.
"I am committed to the kids and to our entire school community. I am dedicated to creating nurturing, positive and engaging schools for all. I consider each and everyone of you important to our school family. I look forward to working with you in supporting our kids!"
