Sabers stand-out Maeve Donnelly heading to UMass
Maeve speaks to audienceMaeve Donnelly, whose towering presence has helped propel the SV Sabers girls basketball team to two state championships in a handful of years, has committed to attend and play basketball for the University of Massachussetts Amherst. Flanked by parents Tom, Sr. and Kristen, Maeve made it official at a November 14 signing ceremony, attended by bleachers full of friends, family, supporters and well wishers.  Maeve was praised for her passion and commitment, her leadership abilities and her work ethic - including a lot of court time playing basketball year round with a great deal of AAU experience. Maeve took to the volleyball court during the fall and helped the team to a Section IV runner up finish. She also earned high praise for earning high marks! Maeve currently ranks 4th in the Class of 2019. At UMass, Maeve will pursue a degree in Public Health.
