It's Music In Our Schools Month at Susquehanna Valley!
More than 50 years ago we started celebrating Music In Our Schools Month in March. The month is filled with dozens of performances and festivals. This year, we carry on the tradition of sharing our musical gifts with the community with performances at center court at Oakdale Commons (formerly the Oakdale Mall).
We hope you will be able to come out and support our students and acknowledge all of their hard work preparing for these concerts:
Tuesday, March 14, 11:15 a.m. - Francis P. Donnelly Elementary School Band and Chorus
Wednesday, March 15, 10:15 a.m. - Richard T. Stank Middle School 6th Grade Band
Thursday, March 16, 12:15 p.m. - Brookside Elementary School Band and Chorus
Friday, March 17, 10:15 a.m. - SV High School Concert Chorus; 11:15 a.m. - SV High School Concert Band
Tuesday, March 21, 11:15 a.m. - SV Elementary Orchestra
Wednesday, March 22, 10:15 a.m. - Richard T. Stank Middle School 7/8 Grade Band and Jazz Ensemble
Friday, March 24, 11:15 a.m. - SV Middle and High School Orchestras
We also have three BCMEA All County Festivals this month, the first of which is this coming weekend at Chenango Forks High School. We will be traveling to Whitney Point High School for Festival I on March 17 and SV is hosting Festival II at the high school and middle school on March 24. Finally, the high school will present their annual Music In Our Schools Concert on Thursday March 23rd at 6:30pm.
