Anthony Palmieri fell in love with airplanes when he flew to Florida at the age of 3 or 4 and was allowed to go into the cockpit. From then, what grew from a fascination with learning about different types of airplanes became a determination to learn how to fly. For his 15th birthday, his family gave him a "discovery flight," otherwise known as an introductory flight. It's a short training flight, about 30 minutes, with an instructor designed to let you become familiar with a plane and with flying.
Just two years later, Anthony has earned his private pilot's license, and he intends to continue to fly when he departs for Marywood University after graduation. According to "Young Aviators, Inc.," Anthony is unique... The total number of certificated pilots in the United States under the age of 20 was just short of 6,000, as of 2021.
Once enrolled at Marywood, Anthony will continue to log flying hours as he majors in Aviation Management and Flight Operations. He decided he wants to aim for a career in commercial aviation because he is interested in also teaching others how to fly.
