Two Sabers headed to Albany for BOCES Expo!
We are so proud of Elizabeth and Douglas, SV students who attend the Broome-Tioga BOCES PALS program... they are two of the three students from the Work Experience Program that will be ambassadors during the BOCES Expo in Albany on April 30!

Douglas works at CHOW, packing the orders and operating the forklift. He has certification as an OSHA 1910 Forklift Operator and looks forward to sharing his experience with this great program. "I'm very excited because I like to tell people what we do for the Work Experience program at BOCES," said Douglas.

Lizzy has an internship with the lab at Guthrie Lourdes and enjoys a variety of responsibilities in her role. In addition to sorting slides in the histology lab, she goes floor to floor to check expiration dates on supply carts. She explained that her favorite part of her job is the hands-on aspect. "I like checking the supplies on the cart and making sure it's ready before an emergency happens," said Lizzy.

We know they will be excellent ambassadors for this valuable program!
