Andrew Waite is number one with the STMTA

Andrew Waite was recently awarded first place in the Southern Tier Music Teachers Association Solo and Ensemble Competition.   He competed in the Middle School Duet category.  Music students throughout the Southern Tier participate in this competition each year.  Andrew plays tenor saxophone in the 7th/8th Grade Band and Jazz Ensemble at Richard T Stank Middle School, with Mrs. Markstein.  He studies privately with Mrs. April Lucas.  Andrew was also a member of the 2019 Area All State Band and has performed at the New York State Solo and Ensemble Festival for the last 3 years.
