RTS student project a virtual tour of NYS
At Richard T. Stank Middle School, French teacher Jessica Wright’s Writer’s Workshop students recently completed a project that focused on popular New York State locations. The NYS Presentations projects - aligned with the students’ informational text section - involved the use of public speaking, visual/media displays, written and verbal inquiry, collaboration and research. Students began work on their presentations at the beginning of March, and formally presented Friday, April 12 in the RTS library.
 
The student presenters and their topics: Statue of Liberty by James O’Dell and Jaden Roche; Howe Caverns by Jordan Starchok; Renaissance Fair by Cody Olds and Ethan Nemconsky; Greek Peak by Tyler Wing; Owego Strawberry Festival by Natalee Blewett and Kaylee Andrus; Niagara Falls by Emma Pombo and Adam Leonard; Times Square by Caitlin Penny, Corinne Zarrelli and Gavin Devine; Chrysler Building by Cayden Pilipovic; and New York Style Pizza by Alex Wallick.
