SV alum Julia Black is chasing her dream
Susquehanna Valley High School music teacher and Band Director Meggan Olds got some exciting news from a former Saber who is out in the world chasing her dream. Julia Black, who thrilled audiences in a number of Saber Stage Productions offerings in recent years notified Mrs. Olds that the in-person premiere of her short film Don't Be a Stranger is Friday, October 29 at Cinema Saver in Endicott on October 29th at 8 P.M. The film follows four people who come to their old hideout to grieve the loss of their friend. A stranger wanders into their midst as they quickly discover who they know and who they don’t. Paying homage to the works of Alfred Hitchcock and Rod Serling, Don't Be a Stranger is a thrilling theatrical event you won't want to miss! Tickets are free for the event but must be reserved in advance: https://m.bpt.me/event/5280846?fbclid=IwAR05arz5mKEWEssE0R3622KM4nWJVw9VFjbMuG0gCvVVKBXC_sFzAU1BxUs

As for what else she's been up to:
"I've also been studying privately with playwright/actor/director Ashley Griffin since the beginning of the pandemic and I will be making my playwriting debut the first week of November with my new play Everything Feels Like the End of the World. We'll be touring the show all over upstate NY throughout the year in an effort to raise enough funds for an off-broadway run and as a part of this tour we'll be doing a production in Binghamton the week of January 3rd (Location TBD). I will keep you all updated when tickets become available for that production. If you want more info about the show, you can visit: https://www.commongroundtheatrecompany.com/end-of-the-world "
