Talk Saves Lives Tuesdays

It seems these days we all know someone struggling to keep it together. And sometimes, it's difficult to know what to do when someone we know or love is struggling with substance abuse or mental health issues. That's why the Care Compass Network has partnered with the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration to create a national portfolio of mental health and suicide awareness training programs to give people an opportunity to learn how to help.

As part of the SAMHSA Suicide Awareness & Prevention Training Program (SAPTP) Care Compass will be offering a spring evening webinar series for parents/caregivers of middle and high school students called “Talk Saves Lives Tuesdays.” School staff and other members of the SV Sabers community are welcome to attend as well. Participants can register for just one event, or all three, depending on their unique needs and interests.

The Talk Saves Lives Tuesdays series is being offered in partnership with Care Compass Network as part of the a SAMHSA Suicide Awareness & Prevention Training Program. This five-year program, administered as part of a national portfolio of Mental Health Awareness Training (MHAT) grants, seeks to reduce stigma surrounding mental health by increasing awareness through education, and strengthening intervention pathways to support middle and high school students.
