Sure, the weather was downright uncooperative for the 2023-24 edition of Homecoming Weekend - causing some scheduling challenges for our annual parade and the crowning of our Homecoming King and Queen. But that didn't stop us from enjoying all the activities connected to Spirit Week. At SV High School, Spirit Week wrapped up with a raucous fun-filled 80-minute pep rally that included a glitter bomb, home-crafted t-shirt launchers, some amazing cheerleader routines, a high-intensity and high-volume Shout Your Saber Spirit competition, an animated chair surfing race, and the world's most enjoyable version of Hungry Hungry Humans. There are photos galore from the pep rally
HERE. Spirit Week also included a series of special dress-up days, including "Opposites Day," which gave students and teachers a chance to dress like each other, as student Miley Urso and Physical Education teacher Ms. Alford did at SV High, and the entire group of children in Mrs. Thompson's PreK Class did at Francis P. Donnelly!
