More honors for SV High artists
Susquehanna Valley High School artists Megan Ketchum and Anthony Gee have been selected for this year's Scholastic Art Awards program, hosted by the Arnot Museum, Elmira. In this, the 80th year of the museum’s association with the program, over 500 works were entered for adjudication, and 76 were chosen to receive an award. In addition, Gold Key winners will be sent to New York for National judging this spring.

Ketchum, a senior, received a Gold Key for her colored pencil drawing Candy Paradise, while Gee, a junior, received a Silver Key for his drawing The Brave and the Bold.

The Scholastic Art and Writing Awards is the nation's longest-running, most prestigious recognition program for creative teens. The exhibition of winners from the twin tiers region will be open to the public from January 24 - March 4, 2023 at the Arnot Art Museum, 235 Lake Street, Elmira, New York. The Museum is open from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm Tuesday to Friday, and 12:00-5:00 pm on Saturdays.
