Jessica Wright’s sixth-grade Saber Success students are putting their creativity and critical thinking skills to the test with an exciting board game design unit! This collaborative project allows students to engage in project-based learning, working together to design game boards, craft game pieces, and write clear, strategic directions.
Through this hands-on experience, students are building 21st-century skills such as teamwork, communication, problem-solving, and innovation. The activity also integrates design thinking and encourages the application of writing, math, and artistic skills to create functional, engaging games.
The photos below reflect their creativity and teamwork, as they try out their finished board games!
