Regina Felice works with your district leadership and staff to identify stories, share important information and support Susquehanna Valley's communication priorities. She is part of the Broome-Tioga BOCES Communications & Public Relations Service. This is a shared service, rather than a full-time position embedded within the school district.

Service & Availability
Susquehanna Valley CSD receives .5 FTE level of communications support. This represents an average of approximately 19 hours of service each week.

These hours include time spent:
  • Working in district buildings.
  • Attending meetings and events.
  • Writing and editing content.
  • Updating the district website.
  • Managing social media content.
  • Planning publications and communications campaigns.
  • Coordinating photography, graphics, video and other creative services.
  • Responding to district communication needs.

The Public Information Officer's schedule may vary based on district priorities, events, deadlines and urgent communication needs. Work completed off-site is part of the district's total service allocation.

Planned District Availability
The PIO is generally scheduled to work with the district:
  • Tuesdays and Thursdays, on-site.
  • off-site as needed to update the website and social media feeds.

This schedule may change to accommodate major events, urgent needs, publications deadlines or other district priorities. To confirm availability or schedule a meeting, contact Regina directly.

How to Submit a Story or Communication Request
Please email [email protected] with your request and include the following:

Photography and Event Coverage
Photography may be available for major district events, programs, and communication priorities. Because the PIO supports multiple communication needs, coverage of every classroom activity, meeting, athletic event or ceremony cannot be guaranteed.

Please provide advance notice when requesting event coverage. Requests will be evaluated based on district priorities, timing, staff availability and the communication value of the event.

Urgent or Sensitive Communications
Time-sensitive, emergency, confidential or media-related matters should be directed to the Superintendent or appropriate district administrator. District leadership will coordinate with the Communications & Public Relations Service as needed.

Our Commitment
The Broome-Tioga Communications & Public Relations Service works in partnership with district leaders and employees to provide accurate, accessible and engaging communications. By sharing information early and including the coordinator in the planning process, district staff help ensure that important stories and messages reach the right audiences at the right time.
