Section 7: REGARDING STUDENTS IN GRADES 7 AND 8

Are they using lockers?

No, students in grades 4 through 8 will be provided with a small tote box to keep their belongings that remain at school during the day.  It will be kept with them at their desk.

Will there be any type of orientation for the 7th graders since this is a new building to them?

Yes, there will be an orientation video for students in grades 4-8 respective to their assigned learning location.

Will the 7th graders be in their own separate wing or need to learn the layout of the high school?

Students in grades 7 and 8 will be housed in the wing of the High School that contains the District Office.

When can we expect to see Middle and High school student's schedules?

Student schedules for grades 6-12 will be available during the first week of September.

Will the kids be changing classrooms each period?

Only students in grades 9-12 will be changing classrooms.  This is due to the varied academic pathways that occur at the high school level.  Students in Pre-Kindergarten through grade will only leave their classrooms for physical education and lunch (and to use the restroom when not located inside the classroom).

Where will student belongings be held?
