SV Sabers Varsity Athletic Awards Ceremony
Student-athletes, their parents and other supporters were joined Wednesday, June 8 in the high school auditorium for a night to celebrate being a Saber - on the field, mat, court, lane or track, in the pool or in the classroom. The 2016 SV Varsity Athletic Awards featured a memorable display of achievement, sportsmanship and fun. Following opening remarks from AD Scott Snyder, Senior Natalie Hogan offered her reflections on how much participating in Saber athletics has meant to her and to her family. Then, it was time for the student athletes to take the stage to receive certificates, medals, plaques and trophies. and the well wishes of staff, coaches, administrators and family. Closing the evening: the announcements of major awards - Exceptional Senior Female Athlete Paige Finch (pictured left), Exceptional Senior Male Athlete Lucas Sutton, Outstanding Female Athlete Hannah Haskell, Outstanding Male Athlete D.J. Griffiths and Saber Spirit Award recipient Sara Yezzi. Also receiving a Saber Spirit Award in special recognition for her years of service to the SV Sabers All Sports Boosters Club - Paulette Novobilski. PICTURES HERE!
