Next fall, Susquehanna Valley High School senior Sophia Pappas will trade in her blue and gold softball uniform for the green and white of the Binghamton Bearcats.

 

Before dozens of friends, family, teammates and local media, Pappas SIGNED HER OFFICIAL NATIONAL LETTER OF INTENT to attend Binghamton University on a full scholarship and join the Bearcats softball program. 

 

After leading the Sabers to the Section IV Class B title in 2016, Pappas - In her junior year, posted a 0.91 E.R.A., with 239 strikeouts and only 9 walks. She also dominated at the plate, with a .540 batting average and 4 home runs. She was a member of the First Team All-State, and nominated for Gatorade Player of the Year.
