SV High School talent show makes wishes come true!
Talent show act
The Susquehanna Valley High School chapter of National Honor Society hosted a community talent show in the high school auditorium Thursday, May 17, with all proceeds going to the Central New York Make a Wish Foundation.  The talent show featured a variety of performers taking the stage to shine under the lights - all to benefit an organization that makes wishes come true.  WBNG TV-Action News was on hand and DID A NICE STORY on the event.

RTS Middle School Social Worker Dan Kosick served as master of ceremonies for the evening - explaining that he himself was a Make a Wish kid in his teens while battling cancer. Dan told the story of how the Make a Wish Foundation sent him on a dream trip to spend time with the NFL's Washington Redskins.

On the night of the show, Rowdy the Rumble Pony was making the rounds with lots of high fives and selfies. There were also a number of great basket raffle prizes, a bake sale and, of course, the live performances from students, faculty and staff, and members of our community.

Our thanks to local organizations, businesses and churches who got involved in this fundraising effort by donating raffle baskets, gifts certificates or other items. The event raised more than $2,300 for Make a Wish of Central NY!
