Julia Allen's Poetry Continues to Inspire
Susquehanna Valley High School junior Julia Allen has been accepted into the 2014 National Scholastic Art and Writing Awards for Poetry. Julia was awarded a Silver Medal for three of her poems: Lingering, Grocery List, and Not Until the Dough Rises. She has been entering works for years, winning several regional awards. This is the first time she has been recognized at the national level, and opens the door for scholarship and publication opportunities.
The Scholastic Art and Writing Awards are the largest source of scholarships, recognition, publication, and exhibition opportunities for creative teens in the US.
