Susquehanna Valley High School senior Megan Wagstaff celebrated her birthday in style this year, by earning a spot in the SkillsUSA National competition! She did that by finishing first in the state competition April 25 in Cosmetology II.
Megan scored a perfect 100% in a demonstration of an “Up-Do”, a formal hairstyle, such as those thousands of young girls will be seeking soon for proms, dances and weddings. That perfect score and first place finish means Megan will be off on an all-expenses-paid trip to Louisville, Kentucky at the end of June to compete in the Nationals.
As for her future plans, Megan wants to be a sign language translator and practice cosmetology on the side.
