There was an abundance of Saber pride filling the Susquehanna Valley High School auditorium June 7 as Richard T. Stank Middle School faculty and administrators recognized a school year's worth of student effort and accomplishment. The annual RTS Awards Ceremony, moved this year to the soft seats and climate controlled environment at SV High, brought a capacity crowd of proud parents, grandparents, guardians and friends to watch our 6th, 7th and 8th grade students receive well earned awards. In small groups, students were called to the stage to be recognized for - among other things, educational excellence, physical fitness, attendance and honor roll. In attendance, and receiving a warm welcome, was the school's namesake, Richard T. Stank, with his wife Sandra. Their grandson Tim was among those students receiving awards.
