BC Legislature Honors Retiring SV Superintendent

At its May 21 meeting, the Susquehanna Valley Board of Education welcomed special guest Kelly Wildoner, 3rd District Broome County Legislator. Mr. Wildoner appeared on behalf of the full legislature to present a framed certificate of appreciation to retiring SV Superintendent Gerardo Tagliaferri. The certificate acknowledges Mr. Tagliaferri's 27 years of dedicated service to the SV district. The recognition came as Mr. Tagliaferri prepares to step down November 1. For Mr. Tagliaferri, the legislature's recognition came as a pleasant surprise. "It was certainly unexpected. I'm honored to be recognized by the county legislature for my service to the district - it's greatly appreciated," said Mr. Tagliaferri.
