This course trains entry-level lifeguard participants with the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize, and respond to aquatic emergencies. Certification includes Lifeguarding, First Aid, and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer from the American Red Cross.

Dates: Saturdays March 11, 18, 25 and April 1 and Sunday, April 2. Dates and times are subject to change. Participants must be at least 15 years of age and must pass a swimming test. There is a fee.

One thing is C-L-E-A-R from the inaugural Richard T. Stank Middle School Spelling Bee conducted Thursday, February 16 - RTS students take spelling S-E-R-I-O-U-S-L-Y. After getting through some challenging words, 8th grader Hope Savercool was crowned as the school's top speller. [ for more]
