RTS Middle School Winter Concert an aural delight

With performances by the 6th grade band, 6th grade chorus, advanced orchestra, select choir, jazz ensemble, 7th and 8th grade chorus, and he 7th and 8th grade band - an audience that packed the SV High School auditorium enjoyed a wonderful evening of seasonal music at the 2009 middle school winter concert. Susquehanna Valley accepts Rachel's Challenge
Rachel's Challenge came to SV's Richard T. Stank Middle School and SV High School, Thursday, November 19. Students, parents and community members heard Rachel's story, delivered by Dave Gamache, at a series of assemblies in the high school auditorium.

At Richard T. Stank Middle School, the 2009-10 school year got off to a delicious start, thanks to the annual welcome back barbecue. Mr. Doig and Mr. White manned the grills, with food service and guidance staff serving up scrumptious summer fare during each lunch block. Wild 104 personality Louie G. provided the tunes and students enjoyed summer weather as they reconnected with friends and got the new year off to a great start! MORE PICTURES HERE!

National Junior Honor Society Induction

Fifty-four 7th and 8th grade students are the newest members of the National Junior Honor Society at Richard T. Stank Middle School. The annual induction ceremony was held Tuesday, November 3, 2009.

Yes! LEADS is going strong at SV.
The program, formerly known as ADSIP, operates primarily as a peer leadership program, sending trained middle and high school students into elementary schools to help instill positive messages and teach the younger students techniques to help live a drug-free life. NYS Senator Thomas Libous was instrumental in creating ADSIP and hosted a recent training session for peer leaders, including those from SV. Click the picture at left for more....
