ADSIP has a new name - but the message remains the same!
After more than two decades operating as ADSIP (Alcohol and Drug Student Information Program), NYS Senator Tom Libous' office has changed the program's name to YES! LEADS - making YES LEADers out of hundreds of middle and high school students across our region - including the team of SV High School students pictured above with Senator Libous. Students gathered in October for training in role modeling, leadership and public speaking. As YES LEADers, these middle and high school students are sent into elementary schools to pass along their anti-drug message to their younger peers. In addition to classroom training, these role models also create montly bulletin board displays, sponsor poster contests, family movie nights and other community events. By being YES LEADers, these students also demonstrate their commitment to live drug-free lives in their everyday actions. Staff Advisors at RTS Middle School - Ms. Cass, Mr. Kosick and Mr. Giraudo announced that the following students have been chosen as YES! LEADers: Mechelle Bonsell, Hailey Brewer, Sean Callahan, Ryan Caroway, Kellyn Chapman, Gina Correll, Emily Cortese, Morgan Finch, Natasha D'Oliveira, Amanda Finch, Rose Green, Ashley Hawkins, Josh Kinney, Tyler Lyke, Corinne MacDowall, Katie Markstein, Demi May, Jenny Reese, Troy Robinson, Dallas Rockwell, Shaynne Rodriquez, Jordan Shepard-Loucks, Kasey Smith, Sierra Storm, Sara Tucci, Jordan Willard and Rosemary Zelenyak.
