The Susquehanna Valley Scholarship Foundation - Dollars for Scholars will conduct its 8th annual Phone-a-Thon March 3-6, 2008. Between 6:00 and 9:00 p.m. on those three nights, student volunteers will contact community members by phone seeking pledges to be used toward scholarships for the class of 2008.

The Susquehanna Valley Scholarship Foundation has awarded over $40,000 to 155 Susquehanna Valley seniors since June 2000.

The scholarship foundation will also be hosting a Phil's Chicken House dinner on Tuesday March 4th during the Phone-a-thon at the high school cafeteria, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Visitors will be able to enjoy a half chicken, two side dishes, roll and butter and beverage. Take-out will be available. Tickets are $10.00 with all proceeds going to the S.V. Scholarship Foundation-Dollars for Scholars.

Susquehanna Valley Scholarship Foundation • Dollars for Scholars 

The Susquehanna Valley Scholarship Foundation/ Dollars for Scholars began in 1999 with the goal of making college more affordable for Susquehanna Valley graduates. The Scholarship Foundation has increased its awards each year and currently presents between $10,000 and $15,000 to members of the graduating class. The Scholarship Foundations depends upon the generosity of the SV community to raise these graduation awards. 

We ask you to consider a tax deductible donation to assist us in our mission. Donations may be mailed to: Susquehanna Valley Scholarship Foundation/Dollars for Scholars, PO Box 382, Conklin, New York 13748. In addition, the foundation is always looking for new members. It doesn't require a huge time commitment - usually only an hour or two per month. The foundation committee typically meets on the third Wednesday of each month in the SV High School library.
