SV student wins French award

James Bedrin, a Susquehanna Valley High School senior, has been selected for a 2007-08 Outstanding Senior in French Award by the American Association of Teachers of French. The award is made annually to a graduating senior who has demonstrated excellence in the study of French as well as exceptional commitment to the French language and the many cultures where it is spoken. Recipients must have completed at least three years of French study at the time of graduation and be non-native speakers of French.

Bedrin was nominated by SV High School French teacher Sharon Rowe. Bedrin has studied French for five years, has competed in the National French Contest, has studied abroad, is a past officer of the French Club and is a member of the National French Honor Society.
