*       Mr. Abbey welcomes those present, distributes minutes from January 7, 2008 meeting.  Group reviews those minutes – no concerns expressed or changes made.

*      BCK representatives present detailed information on improvements/renovations needed at Brookside Elementary School, Donnelly Elementary School, Cedarhurst Elementary School, Industrial Arts Building, Grounds Shed, Bus Garage, Press Box, Conklin Center (former school building adjacent to Donnelly) and Brookside Bus Shed.  Mr. Costello notes the information presented is "strictly infrastructure" – programming needs yet to be identified could require additions.  Members presented with detailed printed outlines of proposed work at all these facilities.

*      There is discussion regarding honing in on a dollar figure – what committee members believe community would be comfortable with.

*      There is discussion regarding the future of the Cedarhurst building and its place in the overall decision.

*      Discussion regarding capacity levels at elementary buildings and enrollment projections.

*      BCK will need more than one month to meet with building principals and leadership teams to study "programming" needs at elementary schools and how those needs might impact what projects are ultimately offered.

*      Further discussion on enrollment history in the district and trying to take the pulse of the community on what taxpayers might be willing to support – might get some notion of that in bus referendum and spring budget vote.

*      Mr. Marean will fill in for Mr. Abbey as co-chair of committee.  Mr. Abbey is departing SV for a job at Union-Endicott.   Mr. Tagliaferri commends Mr. Abbey for his work for the district and on the committee.
